2023 QUEEN KIARA ROOT & PRINCESS LACEE LADY

Kiara is 15 years old, and currently a sophomore in highschool. Kiara and her family reside in La Pine but she and her mom moved here from Germany, in 2016 when she was only 9 years old! Kiara has been riding for the last 3 years and got her first horse about 2 years ago! When she is not with her horses, you can usually find her reading one of her many books! She is currently working on continuing to build a relationship with her mare Lucy, by practicing in arenas, attending playdays, riding in her neighborhood, or by simply giving treats! Lucy will be her primary mare during this year’s rodeo season, but you may also see her riding her other mare, Busy, will also be attending this year’s rodeo season with her! 

LACEE IS THE 20 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER OF RICK AND SHELLY LADY. SHE GRADUATED FROM JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL IN 2020. DURING HER TIME IN SCHOOL, LACEE COMPETED IN NORTHWEST YOUTH RODEO FOR 7 YEARS, FFA FOR 4 YEARS, AND OHSET FOR ONE YEAR. SHE IS CURRENTLY EMPLOYEPD AT CHERRY CITY ELECTRIC. IN LACEE’S FREE TIME YOU CAN FIND HER AT A BARREL RACE, GIVING RIDING LESSONS, AND PUTTING IN TIME DURING RODEO SEASON AND HAY HARVEST FOR OUR LOCALLY OWNED FREEDOM BULLS AND CATTLE COMPANY. LACEE'S RODEO PARTNER FOR THE YEAR IS HER MARE, LARAMIE!
